Default I think WordPress is the best for first timers.
Hi Jess. When I first started blogging I tried Blogger and WordPress...I actually set up accounts with both. Personally, I found WordPress to be much better. It's easy, free, and they have a great community. When you tag a post at WordPress it goes into their community under that tag...you get a lot of comments and a lot of new readers this way. And WordPress is free, the only drawback is you can't have ads.
