Default Tips & Tricks: Bestowing "Reputation"

Up in the top right corner of every message, you'll see a little icon that looks like a set of scales. That's for adding to someone's "reputation," a measure of how well respected they are here.

If you read something good, add some reputation to the person who wrote it. It doesn't make too much difference now, but as these forums get older it will become more and more important as it helps you know who's a veteran here and who's just shown up recently.

Since we have so many new members, I wanted to bump this up to the top again. Your "Reputation" shows up as colored blocks to the far right of your name on each of your posts. Be sure to let someone know it when you like what they wrote by adding to their reputation!
