Oh Shane! Darth PC in disguise! The difference between Apple and PC is that Apple acknowledges when there is a problem and rectifies it immediately. And that MacBook issue was an issue when they first came out (I remember you telling me about the website).

Apple rules, PC drools! <--- not my usual adult professional self, but hey, it was fun to write!

So! Who has the e-mail address, phone #, or snail mail address for Steve?

Anyone? Anyone?

Default Update!!

So, Apple called me today The person who called said that they'd send out a replacement hard drive under warranty and make an exception for me - instead of having to return the damaged hard drive within 10 days, I would be allowed to keep it for as long as I needed to in order to try to get the data off of it.

She said I could return it after that.

To be honest, I was half-hoping that they'd offer to try to get the data off, but I guess I'll take what I can get.

The nice thing about APPLE is that they stand behind their products. My husband has been an APPLE fan since the first classic came out decades ago. I was very hesitant when he wanted to buy me an iBook. I was comfortable with my clunky Gateway PC. Now, I don't want anything but a Mac. Any problems we've had, (and they've been minor), APPLE has taken care of- even after the warantee expired! There are companies out there that can retrieve info from almost any harddrive malfunction. Good luck getting your pics and videos back. And remember, no matter what your using- back up, back up, back up!

B.
