Yep. My mother was right. She told me that one day I would regret spending my 8th grade geography class in rapt adoration of Billy Joe instead of learning the names/locations of the rest of the world. I now see the error of my ways... Does anyone care that BJ had curly light brown hair, that the corners of his eyes crinkled when he laughed, that he walked with manly grace, that he could balance a pencil on the tip of his finger while reading, and that he moved away before he knew I even existed? Sigh.
