Holidays / Vacations
I am off to France for 9 days on Wednesday and then to explore a bit of the English countryside for another couple of days. Where are other people going in the near future for their holidays / vacations.
Where is your favorite place to visit? What do you do when away? Lie on the beach? Explore? Tell me more, and I'll be back over the weekend to tell you my favorite places.

health care in france
hi julie--
i hope you don't need health care in france, but if you do, you will be well taken care of-- your friend for socialized medicine-- (since i am almost 60, i just say what i want to say--certainly no offense intended)--

I don't intend to use the healthcare system in France, but know there is no problem if I do need it. I am intending to spend my time seeing the sights, eating, drinking, walking and getting some sun. Plus of course a bit of swimming in the meditteranean sea!

Well it was very enjoyable and extremely relaxing. We spent a day in the Pyrenees, which are the mountains separating France from Spain and went on a train which took us quite a way up. Otherwise, we walked lots, lay on the beach, swam in the medditeranean and generally chilled out. Too much lovely french food and wine was consumed and I have now joined a slimming club!
