You know, most people, when they think of Mardi Gras in the U.S. think of New Orleans. But if you talk to people from Alabama, they'll tell you that Mardi Gras started in Mobile. I used to work for a medical software company. I was trying to get a hold of someone one time and when no one seemed to be answering their phones, I tried the hospital operator. Her comment was "oh, no one's here, it's Mardi Gras!" Let me with quite an image
