Greetings Kim and everyone.
I finally got a moment to come by and bring another voice to the NP section of the forum. I'm a baby boomer NP...my first NP was 1988 through a certificate program (GNP) and finally 1998 with a masters in an FNP program. This whole nursing thing started with a cousin who was my own private idol, Cherry Ames, and then of course, being a Candy Striper. Still at it, in a crazy sort of way - opened my own office a year ago. What a ride it's been! The learning curve is still steep. Daily, I am reminded how amazing the entire health care system is...and that it functions! Looking forward to the rest of the ride ![]() |

Hi Barbara!
Your own office! I don't see too many NPs with their own office - that is great! I use NPs whenever possible - there is a difference in approach/attitude that I can't put my finger on but I definitely appreciate. Welcome to NV!
