Name and Sex: Sandy. My husband calls me The Bean, hence TheBean. Female
Location: Metropolitan Washington, DC Qualification/s past and present: I'm starting an accelerated BSN program in January. My first degree was a BA in Communications. EMT-B and 14 years as a vet tech. You'd be surprised at just how similar veterinary medicine is to human medicine. Bit about you: I'm a little bit adrenaline junkie, a little bit Martha Stewart (minus the insider trading part), a little bit Dr. Doolittle, and a little bit of an insomniac - which is how I fit everything into a 24 hour day. I have two dogs, two cats, one very very patient and mellow husband ![]() |

Welcome, TheBean
It's great to have another nurse from my neck of the woods posting on the board. I live just outside of the District in Maryland. I think we have a lot of things in common. I'm looking forward to reading more of your posts. MJ ![]() |

Hey all,
I'm new to the blog as well so here's a bit about me... I'm a 30 yo woman, living in Seattle. I am in a Master's-entry program. So I'm finishing up my BSN portion now (we do it in 5 quarters, yikes), and then will start the Master's portion this Fall. It's very busy but I have great classmates, and Seattle is an awesome place to do clinicals, so that helps. I was a Marine Ecologist before this and have BS and MS in Biology. I'm getting tired of school to be sure, but am finally excited about where my life is headed! |

Age/Sex: 32 year old male
Location: New England Degree etc: Just received my acceptance letter to the nursing program yesterday (BSN). Previous life: 9 years as an Information Technology Specialist, Modeling agent before that and there's a culinary arts degree somewhere in there. Both of my parents were nurses, so it took me a while to come to grips with the fact that it was what I wanted to do all along. |

Hi, I am Moira. Mofo is my nickname, cause I get called that sometimes, just by my friends.
I am 28 year old female who just finished my first semester of a BSN program at LaSalle University. 1 down 3 to go. I currently work as a medical assistant in an Ob/Gyn office, but I just (today) got a job as a Clinical Associate (my hospital's version of CNA) on a Telemetry floor.
