Great thread PixelRN!
Almost everyone I know has Facebook! I, myself, am not going to join Facebook because I will become super addicted to it. So I have steered clear from Facebook, haha. It is an awesome way to find people, but I'm not really in a rush to join it.Your Flickr images are absolutely gorgeous!

I mean, if you have Facebook, that's awesome. I know it's a fabulous site and it's absolutely fantastic. Of course, finding people from elementary school is great, but it's kind of stalkerish too. ![]() I think I should make a list of what I should do before I join Facebook or something... 1. Wait until it's the year 2008? 2. Take a picture of myself! Hahaha...I will not join Facebook...I will not join Facebook... |

It's true Facebook is addictive but it's not entirely bad like say, heroin.
There are also some benefits to it. I've reconnected with some friends that I haven't seen in awhile and it's a very easy way to stay connected with them. I'll admit it is kind of "stalkerish" but if everyone is stalking each other then does that cancel the stalkerishness (nice word!) out?

I know that Facebook is quite nice, but let's not start a discussion on Facebook here, haha.
It's great that people can keep in touch with friends/family using all these social networks. It's crazy, before it was like...letters, e-mail and ICQ? Then MSN came along and then MySpace, Facebook, etc. It's fantastic and very easy now to find people! |

Here is the Facebook group that Max E. Nurse started:
Nurse Blogger's Lounge I'm going to go out on a limb here and make a prediction. I think that Facebook is going to become the "veneer" through which the majority of people experience the web. It really helps to filter web content in a meaningful way. I've been "studying" social networks for the past year and this is the conclusion I've been coming to. |
