Hrm...I had a LEEP done last spring and my gyn never mentioned weakening of the cervix (not that I asked...). I am only 24. That makes me worry a bit. I'll be sure to ask next time I go in.
(PS. Have had two normal PAPs and one abnormal since the LEEP! Woohoo!)

I'm sorry to hear that we've had somewhat similar fates  My bf is my gyney (I know, sounds weird, but, who better to treat me then someone who has a vested interest in my cervix!) and has said that sometimes late in pregnancy the cervix can be weakened from a prior LEEP; I mean, there's a 6lb+ baby plus amniotic fluid sitting on top of there, what'dja expect? I've heard that a stitch-of-sorts can be put in your cervix to help prevent preterm labor... Do you have a blog? I'd love to read more about your experience. I'm at tofulou.blogspot.com Best of luck!

I know it's been awhile since that first post,I'm a newbie here, I hope everythings OK. My Sister had a LEEP for cervical Dysplasia 3 or 4 years ago. She had her 5th child last year with no problems during pregnancy. I have read that stitching is an option, but most don't need it. Just thought you'd like to hear a success story! Best wishes!
