It always confused me when people talked about "waiting lists". At my school, it's based on grades and the TEAS tests score. I got in the first time I applied. I didn't have to wait at all. Some people even get in right out of high school.

Good day everyone,
I think it is sweet how everyone is confirming how difficult it is to get into nursing school, but would it be possible for people to stick to good suggestions? I would like to read some solutions. Or, discuss only if you got into school fast. Honestly, it does not help to hear about how it used to be to get into nursing school. I need solutions. Thank you. |

I started scool Aug. of 2006 and didn't finish pre-reqs until July 2008. I applied to the nursing program in July of 08 and will not be starting until May 09. In the meantime I was finishing up classes required to transfer to a four year college to get my BSN. It is very time consuming but if this is your calling it is definitely worth the wait . |

is how long did you wait to get into school? Patience grasshopper, someone may reveal the secrets you are hoping for. New Zealand has the same nursing shortage as everywhere we don't have waiting lists but not every one neccessarily gets in. at my old schoolits a combination of grades and attributes and sometimes an entrance interview.
