I use wordpress but I paid $15 for the domain. CHEAP! And they map it for you, too. I am very computer savvy but I get a little lost, (read: completely and utterly confused) when it comes to domain mapping, servers, etc. Wordpress made it really easy. WP does have some quirks but all in all it's a great service (free!) and they are constantly upgrading.

I am in the process of moving to a hosting service and using wordpress.org to edit my posts but I am soooo confused right now...bleh.

Me too Caroline. I have a blog on blogger..very easy for the html impaired. I then started another (same one) on wordpress.com. I just opened an account with Bluehost (free domain name) and power it with wordpress(org). I'm now considering hiring someone to customize the templates. You definitely need to know HTML and CSS to work with wordpress. Has anyone out there hired someone to tweek their wordpress (or design) their blog??
Thanks, Kate http://alternativenursingcareers.blogspot.com |

Can you move your current blog from blogger to wordpress without losing any of your posts?

You can move all your posts just fine, but there's no way to automatically direct readers from Blogger to another site. You have to resort to very visible notices on the Blogger site letting readers know that you've moved.
Kim can give you a good feel for the pain level involved. We moved her in April of 2006. |

Thanks Shane. Maybe I should just stick with blogger. I can do without the technical pain. Especially now when I'm trying to hard to learn about Electronic Medical Records so I can help my daughter choose intelligently on which system to choose.
