I bought a PDA one year ago, but after a couple of weeks I stopped using it. Why? When the battery got empty I also lost all my saved documents and adjustments. Everytime the battery is empty everything is gone again.

thejester, do you have a Sony Clie? Mine used to do that! I had to stop using it as well. What a horrible design flaw!
They aren't all like that. My current PDA, although I do not use it for nursing, does not lose data when the battery dies. |

I only have experience with a Palm, but really like it. Mine is the Palm TX and has plenty of memory. If you need more you can always add a card in the expansion slot.
You will love your palm and find you cannot go without it. Mine always lives in the side pocket of my pants and I am absolutely naked without it! You will save so much time looking up drugs, calculating rates, or reviewing a procedure. Skyscape offers a good selection and many of their titles also include a desktop version so that you can do a little research at home when you need to. Epocrates is also fine. You should check with your employer as some hospitals offer a database for their employees. I was able to download, entirely free of charge, a great drug handbook, lab values database, and one with diseases and conditions. |

This used to be a problem with early Dells as well. They have since fixed this problem, but you have to remember to charge them every day. And they can go through power quickly depending on what is running.

Hey all,
I just bought a Palm Treo 755p. I love it! Haven't used it at work yet, although i've uploaded Epocrates. I'll keep you posted. Elaine ![]() ~~~~~~~~ Miss-Elaine-ious RN |
