Hi everyone,

I am a sophomore nursing students. It is getting a little bit overwhelming for me especially with two kids. I'd love to learn your experiences and tips while in nursing school and how to give a good start to prepare for the dreaded NCLEX exam?
Thank you.

The key to your NCLEX practice is to find NCLEX practice questions that make a difference. Forget those easy-peasy questions that make you feel like a kid in a candy shop. We’re talking about tough but comprehensive NCLEX questions that practically drag your nursing IQ to new heights.

Hello!

I too am trying to get through nursing school with children (3 under 5!) and I'm going to give you advice that I'm sure you've heard a million times. Take things one day at a time! When it gets especially overwhelming, and it will, take things one hour at a time. Just focus on getting through this lecture, this test, this clinical day.

It's the only thing that has kept me semi-sane so far. HTH!

Well, you just have to be very persistent and you have to prepare yourself to make sacrifices (time and financial aspects) especially you have mentioned that you already got two kids. You need to read and read and read a lot!and you must put everything into your heart, there's a lot of things to learn in nursing and memorizing each of them will not really be practical!Stay positive as there are a lot of challenges as you reach your goal of becoming a nurse! Good luck and wish you all the best!

I recommend getting a digital recorder. Sooo many times I have snoozed or simply misheard a doctor say something. Nothing worse than having them repeat it. My recorder has been my saving grace! (And its lasted me 3.5 years!) Just dont accidentally bring it to you when you're going to court for jury duty. How embarrassing haha.

The NCLEX is a scary examination if you make it that way. Once you become familiar with common topics (HURST is a great tool), you will be fine. Practice questions, reading and writing essays https://essmart.org/cause-and-effect-essay-topics/ helps ! At one point, I was reading Saunders, but had to stop because I noticed I was memorizing... So, definitely refrain from doing that, lol. Congratulations on almost completing nursing school! And, good luck to you in all your future endeavors, you can do it!
