Hi all,

If anyone would like to befriend me on flickr (http://www.flickr.com/photos/pixelrn/) or facebook (http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=721296699) please feel free to do so!

I am hoping to find more nurses on Facebook. I have been quite addicted to it as of late!

Great thread PixelRN!

Almost everyone I know has Facebook! I, myself, am not going to join Facebook because I will become super addicted to it. So I have steered clear from Facebook, haha. :D It is an awesome way to find people, but I'm not really in a rush to join it.

Your Flickr images are absolutely gorgeous! :)

I'm looking into Facebook, but I have to be careful. I don't need another addiction:-)

I'm on Facebook....and mySpace.

It's the only way my teen younger brothers and sister will communicate with me. lol

If anyone wants more "friends" send me a message and I'll send you my links!

Pixel, I'll try and find you on Facebook!

Haha, I'm trying my hardest not to join Facebook! Facebook recently came up with that "Non-members can search for people" on the main page and I actually found a few people!

I mean, if you have Facebook, that's awesome. I know it's a fabulous site and it's absolutely fantastic.

Of course, finding people from elementary school is great, but it's kind of stalkerish too. ;)

I think I should make a list of what I should do before I join Facebook or something...

1. Wait until it's the year 2008?
2. Take a picture of myself!

Hahaha...I will not join Facebook...I will not join Facebook...

It's true Facebook is addictive but it's not entirely bad like say, heroin.

There are also some benefits to it. I've reconnected with some friends that I haven't seen in awhile and it's a very easy way to stay connected with them.

I'll admit it is kind of "stalkerish" but if everyone is stalking each other then does that cancel the stalkerishness (nice word!) out?

I know that Facebook is quite nice, but let's not start a discussion on Facebook here, haha. ;)

It's great that people can keep in touch with friends/family using all these social networks. It's crazy, before it was like...letters, e-mail and ICQ? Then MSN came along and then MySpace, Facebook, etc. It's fantastic and very easy now to find people!

Amen sistah! Between NASCAR, Notre Dame Football, the Cleveland Browns, blogging, diet Pepsi and iced venti non-fat, one-Equal lattes, I have enough on my plate!

Here is the Facebook group that Max E. Nurse started:

Nurse Blogger's Lounge (http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=5056334994)

I'm going to go out on a limb here and make a prediction. I think that Facebook is going to become the "veneer" through which the majority of people experience the web. It really helps to filter web content in a meaningful way. I've been "studying" social networks for the past year and this is the conclusion I've been coming to.

I just joined last night. I'm already so overwhelmed with all the stuff you can do. WTH is "poking?" I think I poked you, Beth, but I'm not sure what that means.

There are lots of people from my (very small) high school on there, but not a single one from my class.

Lots of people that I babysat, though.

Wow, I feel old.

Here's my profile. (http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=602858002)

I have facebook, but I don't use it so much...not because I don't like it, just don't have a lot of time. But I did add you as a friend.

I think this is the link to my facebook (all nursing forum friends welcome)...

Hey Gina!

I just added you on Facebook. Now you can see my real name and info. Only my friends can see my profile on there(which I think is cool).
I need to watch myself with those sites...I'll spend hours looking at peoples profiles and all those fun applications.

All my classmates/friends keep saying that! "Give in to peer pressure..." :pcguru: I'll probably get Facebook eventually though...eventually...just not right now, haha. :) My friend was playing Facebook games beside me in class the other day and I was staring at it and asking her all sorts of questions about Facebook.
