Has anyone worked in a country other than you own?

No. I never worked outside of the US before, however I did work in Chicago for a few years. I grew up in a rural area of Iowa, so working in Chicago was like moving to a different planet.

No nor me.

If I had my time again I'd take my nursing career and work elsewhere in the world.

I never worked outside US. But I think it will be a real great experience to work in places where medical assistance is almost not heard.

I've done nursing only in the US; but I've been a medic in Israel and the US.

There are quite a few nurses who volunteer on medical missions and such.

I got my degree in PI and I'm now working here in Southern California. Getting used to the culture that's different from what I'm used to is fine. Hey, I'm a nurse and I'm here to do my job in helping and assisting patients and endure everything with a lot of patience.

Transcultural nursing should be given more emphasis as more and more nurses from different areas around the globe are working in other countries in search for greener pasture. They should take time to be oriented with the cultures of the country where they want to work so that they can do their job efficiently.
