I'll never forget the first time I saw a birth of a little baby. It happened when I was a third degree nursing student. I was sent to obstetrics ward. But in a boring afternoon, I decided go to maternity ward to see the nativity scene. I think that scene only can be overcome by the birth of my own son.

Hi Bev,

That's was truly a great and inspiring story. Although this is not one of my favorites given the situation of my patient but I wanted to share one of my 'I'm happy to be a nurse" moments

I was working at the ICU department and sad to say one of my patients that I took care of for weeks passed away and it was truly heart-breaking. With that being said, I stayed 4 hours past my shift to care for the grieving family.

This was the unexpected part... the family writing a letter to our Chief Nursing Officer about how much that meant to them.

It really makes me proud
