Mr. Ian, I can see where you might infer that I meant that nurses are inferior to doctors, and perhaps my words were not correctly written with what my mind was thinking. I put the word "settles" into quotes because that is what the general population believes about nurses....that they enter nurses because they can not BE doctors. I'm here to tell you that if I wanted to be a doctor, I could have been one. (Boy, how conceited is that!).......but the fact of the matter is that I wanted to be a nurse because each role... the doctor and the nurse are different. I prefer the bedside, I prefer picking up the pieces and comforting, I prefer taking care of the patient as a whole, not just a gallbladder, or a heart, or the headache. I think we agree, but I just said it wrong.
